Advantage global business travel appoints Simon Ferguson as technology advisor

The Advantage Travel Partnership has announced that Simon Ferguson has been appointed as Technology Advisor for its Global Business Travel division.

This new role will see Ferguson assist with the strategic direction of technology adoption across Advantage’s Global Business Travel division with the scope to potentially expand this remit across the wider Group.  

Ferguson currently serves as Senior Vice President at Modaxo, a global provider of technology to public/private transportation and aviation. Modaxo’s business enables the global movement of people, powering transportation technologies for cities such as London, New York, Atlanta, Mumbai and Singapore.

In this new role, Ferguson will operate as an independent advisor to Advantage Global Business Travel, and will work closely with Stephen Baxendale, Technology Partnership Manager, The Advantage Travel Partnership. He will also provide support with horizon scanning and assessing new and upcoming relevant technology enhancements, as well as assist in coaching the Group’s technology team in order to ensure Advantage Global Business Travel achieves its goals and business objectives as defined through our member engagement.

Across its Global Business Travel division, Advantage continues to reinforce its position as the leading consortium for business travel in the UK with 72% of the BTN Europe’s Top TMCs and The Advantage Global Network, available to all Advantage members, is today named as the third largest TMC network in Europe. This represents more than £14.1bn of business travel spend across the world.
