Who you would be working with…

The Advantage Travel Partnership is the UK’s pre-eminent business network representing travel agencies and travel management companies.

Its members are all independently owned travel businesses who operate across 750 locations throughout the UK, representing a large proportion of the UK’s travel agency landscape. In addition, Advantage’s global network footprint continues to expand with representation in 83 countries across 96 network partners who work together in servicing corporate accounts.

What you would be doing…

You, as a Supplier Partnerships Manager, would report to our Head of Supplier Partnerships, Lodging and work alongside a team of very friendly business travel professionals. The whole team works closely together and is tightly connected with the wider business, our member partners and business partners. This will give you the fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from each other.

The overall purpose of your job is to manage and maintain relationships with accommodation partners by ensuring the smooth execution of the annual processes, handling and analysing data. This role will also involve working closely with the wider Advantage team, particularly marketing to enhance supplier engagement.

To do this, you would…

  • Sell the Global Accommodation Programme and marketing packages to new and existing accommodation providers and hotel suppliers
  • Manage the RFP process for the Global Accommodation Programme and handle supplier partner queries
  • Support the annual RFP process in contracting over 60,000 properties
  • Monitor the GDS rate loadings for the Global Accommodation Programme
  • Meet with existing supplier partners offering regular account management meetings and looking at how to maximise existing partnerships
  • Meet with prospective supplier partners
  • Maintain the company database of accommodation contacts to ensure it is up to date
  • Run regular reports from an online system to better manage supplier relationships and accounts
  • Collate reports and stats from supplier partners
  • Be responsible for supplier partner invoicing processes
  • Attend regular events to network with existing and new partners
  • Work with the marketing team to implement effective marketing plans for supplier partners
  • Work with the rest of the Advantage team, to keep them updated on developments within your supplier accounts and support them with any troubleshooting queries where necessary

To be successful in this role, you would have experience of…

  • Working in business travel (highly preferable)
  • Working in a sales environment, competent in face-to-face meetings and selling
  • Microsoft Office especially MS Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and other internal systems
  • Working with and supporting marketing processes
  • Communicating externally while understanding your audience (adapting the message accordingly)
  • Meeting strict and tight deadlines on a regular basis
